Reliance Foundry’s R-4985-24 detectable warning plates were created to facilitate inclusive public spaces by making high-traffic areas safer and more accessible to those living with visual impairments. Compliant to both CSA B651-12 and ASTM 1028 tactile paving standards, these cast-iron plates effectively signal changes in level or a transition from sidewalk to street while preventing slipping with use of grid textures and truncated domes.
The R-4985-24 measures 24″ square and is engineered to withstand being run over by heavy vehicles. Additionally, the plates are fully recyclable at the end of their life cycle. This item comes uncoated by default and will develop a visual contrast from its environment over time, due to a natural patina forming from oxidation and moisture.
